Sheffield City Region Mayor, Dan Jarvis, has launched a review of the region’s bus network.
The review, to be led by Clive Betts MP, seeks to address a reduction in bus usage of over 18% in the last decade at a time when we should be increasing investment in public transport.
Friends of the Earth recently published a report on how to deliver a world-class bus service, including providing free bus travel to under-30s. This would help drive down transport emissions and also significantly improve air quality.
